The kingdom of Bhutan also called “Druk-Yul” or the land of the thunder dragon is a land steeped in religion. Ancient Dzongs (fortresses) stand sentinel in clam valleys through which flow serene Himalayan Rivers. Perhaps the only country in the world where still traditions persist. Witness the Tsechus (festivals) take in the Buddhist rituals in Bhutan. Trekking is the best way to see Bhutan’s countryside and lifestyle of people and enjoy the serene beauty of the mountain ranges.
